Mar 16, 1926 Ottawa's Alex Connell became the first NHL goalie to record 15 shutouts in one season, as the Senators won 4-0 over the visiting Toronto St. Pats. Mike Christie was the first native of Texas to play in the NHL. Christie was born in Big Spring, Texas in Dec. 1949, and played for the Oakland Seals, Colorado Rockies and Vancouver Canucks 1974-1981. |
